1. Please tell us about your role at TekTracking and your background that led you to founding the company. What was the vision behind TekTracking’s development for the rail and transit industry?

I am the CEO and Co-Founder; I have spent more than 25 years in the rail and transportation industry. Prior to founding TekTracking, I held leadership roles with companies focused on railroad operations, communications and asset management technologies. Over time, I saw a consistent problem across the industry: enterprise systems were becoming more sophisticated, but the quality and usability of field data feeding those systems was still poor.

The vision behind TekTracking was to build technology specifically for railroad and transit field operations rather than forcing agencies to adapt generic enterprise software to highly specialized workflows. We believe that if the information collected in the field is inaccurate, delayed, or incomplete, then the value of the enterprise system itself is significantly diminished.

From the beginning, our focus has been on developing Craft-Specific Mobile Applications (CSMA) that are designed around the daily workflows of track inspectors, signal maintainers, locomotive personnel, and other field teams. The goal was to create solutions that are simple to use, work reliably in remote environments, improve regulatory compliance, and provide management with accurate, real-time operational visibility. Now, with our TruRail Ai platform, agencies can develop rich sets of queries on all of their operational data to support future planning, improving asset utilization and maintenance costing accuracy.

Streamlining Locomotive and Rail Vehicle Inspections with ReVAMP

Locomotives and other powered rail vehicles are the backbone of any rail service. Their consistent, reliable operation is absolutely essential for maintaining schedules, ensuring freight delivery, and safely transporting passengers. However, the traditional methods of managing their inspections – primarily through cumbersome spreadsheets or outdated paper logs – are inherently inefficient and introduce significant risks. These manual processes dramatically increase the likelihood of unexpected failures, serious safety incidents, and costly,
